Living in Edo, Oyuki (Misora Hibari) is a young woman that masquerades as a man because of her desire to become yakuza. While on the road she encounters Genta (Satomi Kotaro), a country gambler, and the two become friends and traveling companions on the Tokaido Road. While staying in Hamamatsu, Oyuki and Genta become involved when one of Saint Ginbei's rivals plots to take over the territory by killing the Saint.
